China is willing to work with Chad to develop friendly exchanges and
cooperation between the two armed forces, Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan
said here Friday.
In a meeting with his Chadian counterpart Bichara Issa Djadallah, Cao said
the relationship between the armed forces of China and Chad constitutes an
important part in overall bilateral relations.
Cao, also vice chairman of the Central Military Commission and state
councilor, stressed the development of such military relationship is of great
significance to enhancing mutual trust, friendship and cooperation.
Cao noted the resumption of diplomatic relations at the ambassador level
between the two countries marked a new chapter in bilateral relations, and it
accords with the fundamental interests of the two nations.
He also expressed his appreciation for Chad's support for one-China policy.
Djadallah said Chad attaches great importance to promoting friendly relations
with China. He hoped his current visit to China could help strengthen the
cooperation between the two armed forces in various aspects so as to
continuously deepen the overall Chad-China relations.
