Tanzanian President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete arrived here on Friday afternoon
for the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation slated for Nov.
4-5.
Forty eight African countries that have diplomatic relations with China are
to participate in the two-day summit.
In 2006, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao visited Tanzania which is now a
destination country for Chinese tourists. Bilateral trade reached 474 million
U.S. dollars in 2005.
China established diplomatic ties with Tanzania on Nov. 26, 1964.
