China is ready to work with South Africa to expand cultural cooperation, said
a senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Friday.
"China is ready to make concerted efforts with South Africa to expand
cultural exchanges and cooperation," Liu Yunshan, a member of the CPC Central
Committee Political Bureau and a member of the CPC Central Committee
Secretariat, said in a meeting with Koos Bekker, founder of the South
Africa-based Naspers Group.
Liu, also head of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee,
hailed the cultural exchanges between the two countries.
Naspers Group is a multinational media company with principal operations in
electronic media and print media.
