All the latest information about the National People's Congress can now be accessed easily through a web site launched today.

Vice Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee, Wang Zhaoguo, led the website's opening ceremony... the address: www.npc.gov.cn. Secretary-General Sheng Huaren also delivered a a speech.

The web site, part of the NPC's information building strategy, aims to strengthen connections between the NPC, its deputies, and the public.

It also serves as a window for the world to know more about the top legislative body. The Chinese website will have an English-language version in the near future.
