Top Pakistani and Turkish diplomats called for a peaceful settlement of
Iran's nuclear issue on Monday.
Pakistan Foreign Secretary Riaz Mohammad Khan and Undersecretary Foreign
Affairs Ali Tuygan of Turkey held here the second round of political
consultations in Islamabad.
"They stressed the need for an amicable settlement of the Iran nuclear
issue," a Pakistan foreign ministry statement said.
The first round of consultations between the two countries was held in Ankara
in Aug. 2003.
Both sides also expressed support for the sovereignty and territorial
integrity of Iraq, it said.
