Visiting top Iranian nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani reiterated here on
Tuesday that Iran has rights to peacefully utilize nuclear energy.
Larijani expressed Tehran's standpoint on Tuesday at a news
conference that Iran hoped to solve nuclear issues through peaceful resolutions.
When asked why Iran rejected Russia's offer to carry out uranium
enrichment activities in Russian territory, Larijani said Iran and Russia, as
friendly neighboring countries, have a good relationship.
Iran has never rejected Russia's proposal on solving nuclear issues,
and they just need more time to discuss and analyze the problem, Larijani said,
but it was very regretful that the United States didn't give Tehran enough time
to perfect the plan.
Larijani said Iran has good relations with Gulf Arab states in
history, and Iran welcomed that the Gulf Cooperation Council played an active
role in peacefully resolving nuclear issues.
He also asked the neighboring countries not to worry about nuclear
radiation, saying that until now Iran's nuclear establishments had no nuclear
fuel, therefore, it is impossible to generate nuclear radiation.
Larijani arrived in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday morning, kicking off his
visit to the United Arab Emirates.
