GCC to send delegation to urge Iran to cooperate with IAEA

Kuwait's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh
Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah said yesterday the Gulf Cooperation Council
(GCC) will send a delegation to Iran to urge it to cooperate with the UN nuclear
watchdog. Speaking at a joint press conference with visiting German Foreign
Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, the Kuwaiti minister said that all Gulf
nations are concerned with Iran's nuclear issue. He said the GCC delegation
will convey to Tehran the message that it must carry out full cooperation with
the International Atomic Energy Agency. Steinmeier, on the first leg of his
Gulf tour, also discussed with Kuwaiti leaders other issues including the
situation in Iraq. The German minister is also to visit Oman, the United Arab
Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Qatar.
