Russia's nuclear cooperation with Iran is absolutely transparent and legal,
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in Moscow on Friday.
The nuclear cooperation is being carried out in compliance with international
law and is under the control of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA),
Lavrov was quoted by the Itar-Tass news agency as saying during debates on the
ratification of the anti-nuclear terrorism convention in the lower house of
parliament.
Russia's legislation is very strict in terms of preventing any illegal
supplies of nuclear materials to other countries, he said.
The convention's ratification will make it impossible to produce nuclear
materials for creating devices that might be used in terrorist attacks, he
added.
