Iran ready for talks on nuclear program: ambassador to Moscow

Iran is preparing to enter into negotiations over its nuclear program
within the tightest deadlines, Iran's ambassador in Moscow, Gholamrezah Ansari,
said yesterday.
"We proceed from the understanding that all issues can be
discussed at such talks," Ansari was quoted by the Itar-Tass news agency as
saying.
"We support any event and development, if it has logical backing.
Teheran is an advocate of logic. However, we dismiss any pressure or violence,"
he said.
"Some very significant events have been happening in our region. The
problems stem from the fact that some countries seek world domination. It is
invalid and unacceptable that the approach to international relations based on
the principle -- the one who is not with us is our enemy," the Iranian
ambassador said.
"The one who is not with us has the right to existence, too.
Normal relations emerge only when there is tolerance towards each other, "Ansari
said.
The United States has been seeking to impose sanctions on Iran through
the UN Security Council on the grounds that Tehran is developing a
nuclear-weapons program under the garb of a civilian- use program. However, Iran
has said that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only.
Iran has
said it wants to hold talks with Europe, Russia, China and the United States,
but it will not suspend its nuclear work as a prerequisite.
