Yemeni Prime Minister Abdul Qader Bajammal and his Pakistani counterpart
Shaukat Aziz stressed here on Sunday that the Iranian nuclear issue should be
resolved through diplomatic means.
All the countries in the world, including Iran, have the right of peacefully
using nuclear energy, the two leaders said during a meeting in Sanaa, where the
Pakistani prime minister arrived on Sunday for a three-day visit.
Their countries supported resolving the Iranian nuclear issue through
diplomatic efforts, they said.
Military means should be avoided, the two leaders stressed.
They expressed support for the Palestinian people in their struggle for
restoring their legal rights and building an independent Palestinian state.
As for the Iraq issue, the prime ministers stressed that relevant parties
should make active efforts to safeguard the integrity of the Iraqi nation.
As to the Lebanon situation, the two leaders called on all political parties
of the country to hold dialogues to resolve their disputes.
The two prime ministers agreed that their countries have the same or similar
standpoints on many issues and that the prospects for the cooperation of the two
countries are broad.
They vowed to strengthen exchange and cooperation in such fields as politics,
economy and trade, investment, education, health and security.
