President: Is Ronaldo overweighted?
9/6/2006 15:14

Brazilian President Luis Inacio Lula da Silva held yesterday a 25-minute-long video conference with the national football team technical staff and team captain Cafu.
The President tried to boost the players' morale for their first game on June 13 against Croatia and also made jokes.
He asked head coach Parreira: "Parreira, is he (Ronaldo) overweighted or not?"
Parreira answered: "He is very strong, Mr. President. He is no longer a boy, his biotype has changed."
President Lula said he is concerned with the younger players and asked Cafu, the oldest player of the team, to counsel them.
The President also said Brazilians are very confident about the teams chances of keeping the World Cup title.
Meanwhile, the team has received in Germany thousands of letters from children of several Brazilian schools wishing them good luck during the tournament.
Parreira distributed the letters to the players, saying that he was very moved by the children's words and that he would use their messages in the upcoming motivational meetings with the players.
"It is very nice to receive this kind of message,"Parreira said. "There is even a boy who suggested me the perfect formation for the team."
