Henri Michel disappointed by his team's first appearance in World Cup
11/6/2006 10:52

Frenchman Henri Michel did not want to cover up his disappointment after his team, the debutant Cote d'Ivoire, lost to twice World Cup champion Argentina.
In the first match of the "Group of Death", Cote d'Ivoire were beaten 2-1 by Argentina.
During an after-match press conference, Michel admitted his men had little experience especially in playing a high level match as that of World Cup matches.
He said Argentina is a very good team of high quality and well experienced. "They have a very good way of handling the factors on the pitch that we don't know", he added.
Cote d'Ivoire will play against Netherlands on the 16th June. Michel said his team would try to correct some errors emerged during the first game and would believe in its own power.
Cote d'Ivoire were drawn into the so-called " Group of Death" with Argentina, the Netherlands and Serbia and Montenegro.
