More than 1.5 million South Korean football fans will take to the streets,
stadiums, plazas and other public places across the country Tuesday to cheer
their national team in its first World Cup match against Togo in Germany, the
Yonhap news reported.
Football fans are expected to gather in 187 public places throughout the
country since 5 p.m. local time (0800 GMT), five hours before South Korea's

Yonhap said.
The largest gathering will take place in downtown Seoul, with an estimated
150,000 fans at Seoul Plaza in front of Seoul City Hall, at Cheonggye Plaza and
in the streets of Gwanghwamun.
About 50,000 football fans will watch the game on four giant screens in
Seoul's World Stadium while 30,000 people are expected to watch the match in
Seoul's Olympic Stadium.
Almost all major universities in Seoul have also set up giant TV screens on
