Argentine midfielder Rodriguez named Man of Match against Mexico

Argentine midfielder Maxi Rodriguez was named Man of the Match in the
Argentina-Mexico knockout duel at the 2006 World Cup in Leipzig
yesterday.
Rodriguez blasted a brilliant volley from the edge of the box into
the upper-left corner in the extra time, sending twice world champions into the
quarterfinals.
Argentina, who edged Mexico 2-1 with a full-time 1-1 draw,
will face hosts Germany, who beat Sweden 2-0 in the afternoon, in the
quarterfinals.
