Brazils national soccer team reserve striker Robinho suffered a light
injure during the team's practice at the SSG90 Stadium in Bergish Gladbach,
Germany yesterday. The striker felt pain in his right thigh while practicing
free kicks. He left the practice with doing regular stretching
exercises. Brazils team physician Jose Luiz Runco said the player was
medicated and doing a first treatment with ice. He added that it was soon to
say if the player had a strained muscle. "We have to wait until tomorrow
before we say anything. If it seems necessary we will do some exams. But, for
now, we can't say if he will be able to play or not. Lets see how he feels when
he wakes up on Sunday," said RunCo Brazil head coach Carlos Alberto Parreira
said he is sure the problem will be solved soon. "Robinho never had a
strained muscled. We hope it was nothing serious," he said. In spite of being
in reserve, Robinho played in Brazil's first three matches, and improved the
team performance. Many people say he should become a starter, since a growing
consensus say that Ronaldo and Adriano don't play well together, as they have
similar roles.
