Zidane sent off in World Cup final extra time

French captain Zinedine Zidane was shown the red card on the 20th minute
of extra time to reduce Les Bleus to ten men against Italy at their World Cup
final clash in Berlin on Sunday.
The Real Madrid midfielder, who will retire from the international football
after the tournament, clearly head-butted Italian left-back Marco Materazzi in
the chest on 109 minutes.
Argentine referee Horacio Elizondo decided to hand the French skipper a
direct send-off and Malouda was also booked for complaining.
