Cameroonian soccer legend Roger Milla has said it is a dream come true for
the World Cup to be hosted on the African soil in 2010, The Post reported
Monday.
The Zambian newspaper quoted him as saying at the unveiling of the 2010 World
Cup emblem at the Tempodrom that one of his dreams during his illustrious
playing career is to see an African country host the coveted tournament.
Milla, who is one of the 2010 World Cup ambassadors, expressed confidence the
competition will be dominated by the warm African spirit.
"This is one of my dreams in my football life. Now it is here and immediately
after the 2006 World Cup, we will work for Africa ad South Africa because it is
an honor to be part of the process,"he said.
Milla is confident that African teams will make a good fortune out of the
continent's honor to host the event.
