Singapore on Wednesday condemned the blasts rocking Mumbai, India Tuesday
night, calling them "wanton killing and maiming of innocent people."
"We pledge to work hand in hand with India and other countries in fighting
this scourge of terrorism," a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs quoted Foreign Minister George Yeo as saying.
"At this difficult time, our hearts go out to the families of the bereaved,
to the injured and to all the people of India," he added.
Seven or eight bombs exploded in quick succession at or near railway stations
on the Western Railway network of India's financial capital Mumbai Tuesday
evening, killing at least 170 people and injuring more than 460
others.
