Some 15 people were killed in an Israel raid that targeted civilian cars
on a road in the south of Lebanon, said media reports.
Police confirmed that at least 15 civilians were killed when an Israeli
missile hit cars carrying passengers on a road in southern Lebanon.
More may have been wounded as the vehicles were directly hit, a police
spokesman was quoted as saying.
The Lebanese military confirmed that Israeli warplanes on Saturday launched a
new raid on Beirut's southern suburbs, a stronghold of the country's Shiite
militant group Hizbollah. "Air strikes are being waged on the southern suburbs,"
a military spokesman said.
