Earlier, a local TV channel said that an Israeli soldier was seen forced into a car north of Tel Aviv in an apparent kidnapping.

Police said that the soldier was not kidnapped and he was safe.

Israel has launched offensives against the Gaza Strip and Lebanese Hezbollah since Palestinian militants seized one Israeli soldier and the Lebanese Shiite militant group kidnapped two Israeli soldiers.
