Pakistan would send relief supplies to Beirut following an appeal from the
Prime Minister of Lebanon for humanitarian assistance, the Pakistani Foreign
Ministry said Thursday.
"The Government of Pakistan would send relief supplies in form of medicine
and food to Beirut when it becomes physically possible to do so," Pakistani
Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
The Prime Minister of Lebanon has made an appeal for humanitarian assistance
to enable Lebanon to cope with the effects of widespread destruction of life and
property caused by the ongoing Israeli aggression against Lebanon, it said.
"In response to this appeal and in solidarity with the people of Lebanon, the
Government of Pakistan would send relief supplies," it said.
