Israeli helicopters fired early Monday two rockets at a house in Gaza City
believed to be used to store weapons, witnesses and security sources
said. Witnesses said that the house belonged to a Palestinian resident, and
two rockets hit the house, causing severe damage to the building, but no injury
was reported. Israel Radio quoted an army spokesman as saying that Israeli
aircraft would target Palestinian houses all over the Gaza Strip suspect of
being used to store anti-Israel weapons. "The Israeli army decided to strike
houses in different parts of the Gaza Strip that are used to store homemade
rockets and weapons for attacks on Israel," the spokesman said.
