An Israeli army spokeswoman told Xinhua that an army helicopter crashed
yesterday in the Israeli side of the Israeli-Lebanese border, denying
Hizbollah's claim that it was hit by the Lebanese guerrilla group.
The spokeswoman said the crash was due to technical false, and the helicopter
didn't encounter any attack from the Lebanese Hizbollah.
The casualty in the crash was not immediately known, the spokeswoman said.
Doha-based al-Jazeera TV channel reported earlier that an Israeli army
helicopter crashed Monday near the border with Lebanon as fierce fighting
between Israeli troops and Lebanese Hezbollah entered 13th day.
Al-Jazeera said it had been carrying wounded soldiers.
Regarding the alleged killing of two Israeli soldiers, the spokeswoman told
Xinhua that she cannot confirm the report at the moment.
