Israel Air Force (IAF) is currently carrying out air strikes against the
southern Lebanese town of Bint Jbeil Saturday afternoon, after Israeli ground
troops pulled out of the area, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) told Xinhua.
According to an IDF spokeswoman, IAF is raiding some weapon storage places
and access routes used by Hezbollah in Bint Jbeil.
IDF troops left Bint Jbeil, a Hezbollah stronghold, Saturday morning after
fierce battles for a number of days.
IDF confirmed that seven soldiers were wounded on Friday in Bint Jbeil, one
of them seriously, while at least 50 Hezbollah guerillas were killed during the
intense fighting, Israel Radio reported on Saturday.
Israeli soldiers found in Bint Jbeil dozens of guns and rifles, stocks of
ammunition, grenades, mines, and five anti-tank missiles.
