Three Israeli soldiers killed in Lebanon: TV
4/8/2006 16:34

Three Israeli soldiers were killed in clashes with Hezbollah guerrillas in southern Lebanon on Friday, according to Dubai-based Al-Arabiya television channel.

The report said that two soldiers were wounded without giving other details.

The new casualties came a day after 12 Israelis, including eight civilians and four soldiers, were killed by Hezbollah, Israel's bloodiest day since the confrontation with Hezbollah erupted over three weeks ago.

Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah threatened Thursday to target Tel Aviv if central Beirut was hit by airstrikes.

"If you target our capital, we will target yours. If you target Beirut, we will target Tel Aviv, and Hezbollah is capable of doing so," Nasrallah said.
