Lebanon's Hezbollah renewed Kaytusha attacks on Friday afternoon on northern
Israeli towns,killing two people after eight Israeli civilians and four soldiers
were killed on Thursday, local media reported.
A woman was killed in the village of Maghar near Tiberias when two rockets
slammed into her house, about 22 km south of the border with Lebanon, while
another person was died of seriously wound in an attack on the town of Kiryat
Shmona, said the report.
The report said that other eight people were wounded in the rocket strikes in
Israel on Friday.
The number of Israeli civilian fatalities Katyusha strikes rose to 29 since
July 12, when Jewish state launched a massive offensive on its northern neighbor
after Hezbollah guerrillas captured two Israeli soldiers.
The town of Safed, Nahariya, Carmiel, Ma'a Lot and the Golan Heights were
also targeted by several rockets. There were no casualties in any of these
attacks.
Earlier, two Israeli soldiers were killed by an anti-tank missile during
clashes against Hezbollah guerrillas in southern Lebanon on Friday, the Israeli
army said, with two others were wounded in a Lebanese village.
On Thursday, a total of 12 Israelis including eight civilians and four
soldiers were killed, marking the bloodiest day in Israel since the violence
between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah conflict began.
