U.S. President George W. Bush is "happy" with the United Nations draft
resolution on the Lebanon crisis, White House spokesman Tony Snow said on
Saturday.
"He's happy with it, he's signed off on it," Snow said as Bush is having a
vacation at his ranch in Crawford, TX, according to U.S. media
reports.
The United States expected the UN Security Council to vote on the draft
resolution next Monday or Tuesday, Snow said.
When asked if Bush believes that there is a long way to ending the fighting
between Israel and the Lebanese Hezbollah, Snow said: "I don't think he has any
delusions about what lies ahead."
The United States has hoped that the UN Security Council can pass a
resolution calling for a cease-fire and deploying a multinational force in
southern Lebanon this weekend or early next week.
