The South Korean government announced on Monday its decision of sending
medicine and supplies in emergency relief aid worth over 100,000 U.S. dollars to
Lebanon.
"The government has been participating in the international efforts to
relieve the suffering of victims by donating 500,000 U.S. dollars to Lebanon. In
addition, the emergency medical supplies worth over 100,000 U.S. dollars are in
the process of being delivered soon to the Lebanese people," the Foreign
Ministry said in a statement.
The statement also hailed the implementation of a cease-fire in Lebanon under
the U.N. resolution.
"The government calls on all parties concerned to fully implement the
Resolution and hopes that this Resolution will serve as a basis for durable
peace and stability in the region," the statement added.
South Korea provided 500,000 U.S. dollars to Lebanon earlier this month for
humanitarian relief works.
