Thai Army Chief Songdhi is the chief commander of the coup, a Thai
military source said here early Wednesday morning.
The Thai military and police declared on late Tuesday that they had seized
power of the state from the caretaker government and that caretaker Prime
Minister Thaksin Shinawatra had agreed to resign.
