Thai King signs Interim Constitution
1/10/2006 10:34
The King of Thailand has signed the Interim Constitution drafted and
submitted by the Council for Democratic Reform (CDR), the CDR announced on TV
Sunday morning.
The interim charter takes effect on October 1 until a new constitution is
drafted and signed by the King, the report said.
The royal command states that the CDR annulled the previous charter after the
Sept. 19 coup, so that a new charter could be drafted, the announcement said.
