Chinese Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing late on Tuesday held separate
telephone talks with European Union (EU) foreign policy chief Javier Solana and
Canadian Foreign Minister Peter MacKay on the nuclear test by the Democratic
People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
During the talks, Li reaffirmed the stance of the Chinese government on
DPRK's nuclear test.

Ministry on Monday, saying that the EU was willing to coordinate with the
Chinese side, in a bid to move the situation toward taking a turn for the
better.
Appreciating China's stance on the nuclear issue of the Korean Peninsula,
MacKay expressed hope that all parties concerned should return to talks as soon
as possible.
