Japanese gov't approves additional sanctions on DPRK

The Japanese government approved early today an additional set of economic
sanctions on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), including a total
ban on all imports from the country, which will be effective
for six months from Saturday, Kyodo News reported.
The sanctions also include a ban on DPRK ships from entering Japanese ports,
said the report.
