The chief negotiator of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to the six-party talks
this morning urged all the parties to show sincerity to narrow the difference
and make progress in the talks.
"Weather we can make substantial progress in the talks depends on what stance
the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) would take," said ROK chief
negotiator Chun Yung Woo before leaving for the Diaoyutai state guest house.
He said disputes still exist and all the parties concerned should have
further discussions with sincerity.
Sources here said the Chinese delegation would have one-on-one meetings with
the other five parties Friday, and the U.S. and the DPRK would also have
one-on-one talks.
