The Chinese women national basketball team defeated Australian Dandenong
91-69 on Monday here in a warmup match for the 15th Asian Games, to be held on
December 1-15 in Doha, Qatar.
Former Sacramento Monarchs guard Miao Lijie led China with 23 points for the
first game of the two-stop trip.
China, who finished just 12th in the World Championships in Brazil, fielded
the identical squad from the worlds for the Asiad.
Leading from the very beginning, China widened the gap to 21 points in the
second quarter and ended it up a 9-0 run to claim the victory.
The next stop will be at Jiangyin on Wednesday.
