Two of three luxurious cruise ships have recently arrived in Doha port, which were hired by the Asian Games' organizers to solve the accommodation shortage, local media reported Sunday.

"The third one is due to reach Doha today or tomorrow, " an official of the Doha Asian Games Organizing Committee said, adding that the ships are scheduled for the spectators who failed to find a hotel in Doha.

"They (the ships) arrived about five days ago, most beds of which have already been booked." said the official.

He said that the three cruise ships were considered because there was a "big demand from spectators".

According to the report, the three ships have the capacity to house about 2,500 people and the daily rates of these luxury ships were still unknown.

The 15th Asian Games is to be held from Dec.1 to Dec.15 in Doha, the capital of the gas-rich Qatar.
