Lee Hyung Taik, beaten finalist of the Busan Games tennis men's singles, was
set to fight hard to win at Doha.
"I hope to win the gold medal, but the overall level of Asian tennis players
has improved a lot. No match will be easy, but if I do my best, I hope to get a
good result," said the 30-year-old on Tuesday at the Khalifa Tennis Courts.
At Busan four years ago, Thai Paradorn Srichaphan beat the stubborn South
Korean to win the singles title.
"Srichaphan will probably be the toughest opponent. All the Japanese players
are also good and there are two Filipino players, who were born in the United
States and also have a chance."
The Thai won both meetings against Lee in the ATP tour.
