Indonesian men's single bowler Ryan Leonard Lalisang today won the first
gold medal for his country in the 15th Asian Games in Doha, after his fellow
bowler Putty Insavilla Armein bagged a silver medal from women's single. The
26-year-old Ryan top the points tally with 1,442, or 23 points more than silver
medalist Choi Bok Eum of South Korea. Mahmood Ahmed Al Attar from the United
Arab Emirates won bronze at 1,401 points. Now ranks fourth in the world, Ryan
has earlier expressed confidence of victory when he was watching his fellow
countrywomen in the Sunday's final. "Gold medal is a realistic target and I'm
convinced of it," he was quoted by the national Antara news agency as saying.
