Thailand wins women's 63kg weightlifting at Asiad

Pawina Thongsuk of Thailand broke the jerk world record of women's 63kg
weightlifting at the 15th Asian Games here on Monday.
Thongsuk jerked 142kg to beat the previous world record of 141kg set by
Svetlana Shimkova of Russia.
Thongsuk also won the gold medal of the category with a total of 252kg. The
silver medal went to Ouyang Xiaofang of China at 247kg, who gave up her third
attempt after sustaining a knee injury in the jerk competition.
The bronze medal was taken by Yae Faw Thaw of Myanmar at 227.
