Chinese Zhao Jing snapped the women's 50m backstroke title from world silver
medalist Gao Chang here on Sunday in the 15th Asian Games.
Zhao claimed the gold in 28.69 seconds and her Chinese teammate Gao finished
second in 28.88.
Reiko Nakamura, reigning Doha 200m backstroke winner, was
third in 28.89 while Japan's Mai Nakamura, 27, was fourth in 28.90. As one of
the oldest members on the Japanese squad, she proved herself with a national
title in a national record time of 28.56 in April.
