6/12/2006 10:04

China's Zou Kai dominated Tuesday's floor exercise with a flawless routine to win the gold on the apparatus at Doha Asian Games.

Zou earned a score of 16.000 as the starter of the event and Zou's teammate Liang Fuliang came in second with 15.800 points. South Korean Kim Soo Myun finished third on 15.600. DPR Korea's JoJong Chol missed the medal trailing only 0.50 points behind Kim.

The 18-year-old Zou Kai came to the final as top qualifier to present a set of twisting of acrobatics. Zou Kai, the sixth finisher at Aarhus gymnastic worlds on October, scored 16.000 points to lead the apparatus all through.

DPR Korean duo Ri Se Gwang and Jo Jong Chol both demonstrated their actions well to snare 15.550 and 15.200 points respectively, but their low difficulty cost their efforts to challenge.

Kim Soo Myun surpassed Ri Se Gwang thanks to a steady landing to win a bronze medal for South Korea.
