Choi Jun Sang of South Korea, with his Dancing Boy II, scored 68.311
percent high to be the winner of the individual dressage second qualifiers in
the Doha Asiad on Tuesday.
Choi and his horse were 4th in Monday's first qualifier, and have qualified
for the final in first place.
Japanese rider Yukiko Noge was again a strong second finisher with a score of
66.572 percent in the second qualifier, which whittled the field down to 12 who
will take part in the final this afternoon.
Both Malaysia rider Qabil Ambak and Quzandria Nur were through to the final.
Qabil's 66.222 percent display gave him third place overall with his teammate
Quzandria finishing ninth with a score of 62.889 percent.
Siu Jacqueline Wing Yig of Hong Kong, China, had a stable performance to
finish again sixth in the second qualifier to enter the final in a seventh
overall ranking.
Anything can happen in the individual final as all finalists start with a
clean slate of scores.
