World champion Cheng Fei snared the women's floor with ease, adding the third
gold to her glory on team and vault here on Wednesday.
The triple world champion at the Aarhus championships powered through her
difficult tumbling passes and performed with ease and grace to
take her third gold on floor. She scored 15.750 points with ease.
Cheng's teammate Pang Panpan finished second on 15.250 points and Japan's
Kyoko Oshima third on 15.075.
Cheng, who entered the women's floor final as top qualifier, demonstrated her
explosive opening tumbling line, a high double twisting, double back somersault.
Cheng's difficulty and stabilit found no parallel on floor at the Asiad. Her leg
strength is the best support for her high writhing.
Cheng has won two gold medals, vault and team. She battled with Hong Su Jong
in the vault final, finishing only 0.150 ahead of her improving rival.
