Jin Ziwei helped China defend the title in the women's single sculls of the rowing competition at Doha Asian Games on Thursday.

Jin enjoyed a comfortable win in four minutes and 1.68 seconds, almost eight seconds faster than second placed Ai Fukuchi of Japan.

Pere Karoba of Indonesia settled for a bronze medal in 4:27.76.
