Two weightlifters from Uzbekistan were tested positive for doping at the
Asian Games, Husain Al Musallam, director general of the Olympic Committee of
Asia, said on Sunday.
Elmira Ramieva, who finished fifth in the women's 69kg class, was found using
an anabolic steroid, while Alexander Urinov, seventh-place finisher in the men's
105kg division, was caught for taking a cannabis-related substance, said Al
Musallam.
Both have been disqualified from the Games.
The news came one day after Myanmar's female weightlifter Than Kyi Kyi was
tested positive for a banned diuretic in the Games' first doping case.
