Shi Dongpeng has been edged by Japan's Masato Naito at 0.01 seconds in the
men's 110m hurdles qualifying in Doha today, but still advanced to the
Asian Games final as the second fastest in the second heat.
Final berth earned by the 22-year-old made Tuesday afternoon's final see two
Chinese out of the eight finalists following Olympic champion and world record
holder Liu Xiang's stormy performance in the only other heat.
The Chinese duo will vie for the Asiad title against South Korea's Park Tae
Kyong and Lee Jung-Joon, Japan's Naito and Tasuku Tanonaka, as well as the hosts
Qatar's Mohammed Essa M. A. Al Thawadi and Malaysia's Hassan Mohd
Robani.
