Chinese Taipei beats Japan to meet China in women's basketball final

Chinese Taipei beat Japan 70-59 in Doha yesterday to set up a
final clash with defending champion China in the Doha Asian Games women's
basketball tournament.
Having established a 57-51 lead after three quarters, Chinese Taipei opened
the fourth through a 12-2 run to enlarge it to 69-53with less than four minutes
remaining and held on for the victory.
Chien Wei Chuan led Chinese Taipei with 21 points and Liu Chun Yi added 14.
Kumiko Yamada topped Japan by scoring 18 points.
