Pakistan's plan for general election on Jan. 8 has not been changed, the country's caretaker prime minister said today.

"Right now the elections stand where they were," caretaker Prime Minister Mohammedmian Soomro told a news conference.

He said that any decision on the change of election plan would be done through consultations with all political parties.

"We will consult all the political parties to take any decision about it. I'm ready to meet them right now," he said.
