Unseeded Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga celebrates victory
after winning the Men's singles semifinal match against second-ranked

Unseeded Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga whitewashed second seed Rafael Nadal
with an amazing display to advance into the final of the Australian Open
yesterday.
The 38th-ranked Tsonga claimed his fourth seeded won the semifinal with 6-2,
6-3, 6-2 in an hour and 57 minutes to reach first Grand Slam final in his
career.
Tsonga will either three-time Australian Open champion Roger Federer or
Serbian third seed Novak Djokovic in Sunday's final. Federer and Djokovic will
have a clash in the other semi-final today.
Tsonga had 17 aces, broke Nadal five times and held every serve game to
control the match.
"For me it's a big dream. I don't know what's about that. It's just amazing.
I played unbelievable tonight," Tsonga said, adding "I will try to keep this
level up for one more match."
In women's single, Serbian Ana Ivanovic set up a final clash with Maria
Sharapova of Russia tomorrow.
The 20-year-old Ivanovic lost the first eight games of her semi-final against
Daniela Hantuchova but recovered to win 0-6, 6-3, 6-4, while fifth seed
Sharapova beat Jelena Jankovic 6-3, 6-1 to reach her second successive final at
Melbourne Park.
