Visiting Polish congress speaker Jozef Oleksy said on Monday in Kiev that Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich agrees to re-organize presidential elections completely, Ukraine national news agency Ukrinform reported on Monday evening.

Oleksy, who served as a mediator and met Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, Yanukovich and opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko, told a press conference that Yushchenko agrees to several options:complete re-election, re-balloting for the second round of presidential elections or re-balloting at the provinces where frauds occurred.

After the election crisis emerged, Yushchenko had demanded for holding another round of election on Dec. 12.

According to the speaker, Kuchma favored the idea of complete re-election.

Earlier on Monday at a meeting attended by senior leaders of eastern Ukrainian provinces, Kuchma proposed to hold new presidential elections.

According to Ukrainian laws, only the Central Elections Commission (CEC) has the power to decide on whether to re-organizeelections or not.
