Ukrainian Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovich said on Monday he has sent his
family out of Kiev, Ukraine's national news agency Ukrinform reported on Monday
evening.
Yanukovich made the remarks at a meeting in the suburb of Kiev, which was
attended by senior leaders from pro-Yanukovich eastern Ukrainian Provinces.
He said he could not assume his duty as prime minister normally because the
opposition camp has illegally blocked his office building.
He cited the example that his way to the office building has been blocked and
even someone attempted to hijack him on his way to assume his duty.
Yanukovich said he thus sent his family out of Kiev on Monday but he himself
would stay.
